Our canvases

Canvas types

We print on four Hahnemühle canvases and one Datajet polycotton. They differ in texture, tone, and weight, and those differences matter more than the price gap between them. Prices below are for a 40 × 60cm rolled print, collected from the studio.

400gsm matt fine, uniform texture bright white

Poly-cotton blend with a fine, uniform texture and a bright-white matt coating. The cleanest, most consistent canvas surface we offer.

Artist Canvas

340gsm matt coarse texture natural white

Matte-coated polyester-cotton blend with a natural-white tone and a coarse, traditional canvas texture. The most painterly canvas in the range.

350gsm high gloss fine, uniform texture off-white

Heavyweight canvas with a silvery-shimmering high-gloss finish that produces striking, dimensional prints.

320gsm matt fine, uniform texture bright white

Polyester-cotton blend with a bright-white tone and a finer surface than Artist Canvas. A good middle ground for canvas character without heavy texture.

Datajet

Polycotton Canvas

420gsm matt smooth texture bright white

Matte-coated polyester-cotton blend with a bright-white tone. The heaviest weight in our lineup at the most accessible price.

The short edge of your image is the limiting factor, since it has to fit across the width of the roll. Polycotton is a 60 inch roll, so up to about 152cm; the Hahnemühle canvases are 44 inch, so up to about 112cm. The long edge runs to 12 metres and beyond. If your piece is larger than that, talk to us rather than assuming it cannot be done.
